Our Story

Kushinda Academy was born from the journey of Kushinda Catering, a brand shaped in the fast-paced, high-pressure environment of South Africa’s film industry. 

This background instilled a culture of precision, resilience, and excellence, which now defines the Academy’s approach to training. Founded by visionary culinary leader Nonhlanhla Manganye, the Academy was created to bridge the gap between raw talent and professional success. Today, it stands as a platform where aspiring chefs and food entrepreneurs gain the skills, confidence, and mindset needed to thrive in kitchens, businesses, and global hospitality spaces.
