Her journey began through Kushinda Catering, where she operated at the highest level within South Africa’s film and production industry, an environment that demands precision, consistency, and excellence under pressure. This experience laid the foundation for her transition into education, where she identified a critical gap between raw culinary talent and structured, industry-ready training. 

Driven by a passion to empower others, Nonhlanhla founded Kushinda Academy to create a platform that goes beyond traditional cooking schools. Her vision was clear: to equip aspiring chefs and food entrepreneurs with not only culinary skills, but also the business knowledge, confidence, and mindset required to build sustainable careers and enterprises.
